Beautiful park. Nice and large and it looks like they help with safety for others when nature takes one of the trails off the map. I came home with a deer tick folks so be sure to protect yourself and pets. It was November 4th when I went. The ticks will be out until everything freezes good.
It's far and nice but wear good sneakers and have balance. It's up steep think mountains and takes allot of endurance to climb to the top, middle and bottom/back LoL have fun
A nice hike through woods and along the sandy bluffs overlooking Lake Ontario. At the end you can come back down and walk along the beach and lakeshore back to the parking lot. Beautiful place to cool off on a hot summer day. Entrance and parking is free here.
Second time there. Once 7 years ago in high school and another, more enjoyable time, back in the summer. Loved every bit of it! It is possible to bring kids, but I wouldn't take a lot at once. Need to keep an eye on them as you are walking next to a clif. Beautiful views. So breathtaking. I can't believe something this gorgeous exists. Easy to find. Pay to park from Memorial day to Labor day. There are bathroom facilities available before the trail. Ample parking space. It overlooks Lake Ontario. We didn't complete the trail but we went very far and was good enough for us with the views.
An often overlooked gem of this region: hike along the beach and take in the rugged eroded cliffs and peaks from sea level. Then take the trail back on top of the cliffs with its stunning views over a fantastic landscape. Not safe for very small children and not passable with strollers.
